Summer Fair

11am - 5pm, Saturday the 28th August

In the face of the sensory bombardment that is the Edinburgh Festival, some of you may be experiencing cultural fatigue.  We would urge you however, not to overlook the Friends of Montgomery Street Park Summer Fair.

All the usual bunting based fun and games, market stalls, refreshments, competitions and not least, information and fundraising relating to the latest park improvements.

You are invited to come in Fancy Dress - the theme is 'Parklife (we are anticipating the uptake here will stem largely from the youngsters amongst us - but more elderly folk shouldn't be shy - a Damon Albarn costume could surely be assembled economically and at short notice).  Parade and prizes scheduled for 1pm

There will also be a Children's Cupcake Decorating Competition which will be judged at 3pm (cupcakes, icing etc provided).

In addition this year, we have a Poetry Tent and an acoustic Music Stage* if you are inclined to bring along your guitar / banjo / piano

Hope to see you all on the day and please spread the word.
